EUROPEAN WUSHU GRADING SYSTEM (EWGS)
The European Wushu Grading system is based on the "Chinese Wushu Duanwei system" established by the Chinese Wushu Association.
The objective of EWGS is to provide Wushu practitioners in Europe with a clear and logical criteria of Wushu technical skills evaluation.
1.1. Technical grades (referred to as «Chu Duanwei» and «Zhong Duanwei») and junior degrees (referred to as «Ji») certify the conformity of wushu practitioner to the set of technical criteria and requirements which aim is to establish the technical level in choosen wushu style or weapon.
1.2. Honorary grades (referred to as «Gao Duanwei») certify the commitement of a person to wushu promotion on European Continent including such activities as administrative work in EWUF, outstanding results as wushu athlete, outstanding results as wushu coach, working as EWUF competition judge, financial support of EWUF activities, wushu promotion by means of books, movies (including teaching materials) and Internet.
EWUF CERTIFIED EQUIPMENT
Note: EWUF CERTIFIED EQUIPMENT (as per valid list) has to be used at EWUF events (including in particular EWUF Championships) and EWUF junior events. It also has to be used at qualification events for EWUF Championships and EWUF recognized regional federations events.
Valid for the period from 01 January 2016 to 31 December 2016 (the List of EWUF certified equipement and sport weaponry for 2016 will be published before December 31, 2016).

BUDOSAGA – Taolu competition costumes.

Criteria for EWUF Certified video and broadcast equipment for the official European Wushu Championships and Cups (Based on IOC equipment compliancy)
The equipment for the video and broadcast equipment for the official European Wushu Championships and Cups shall be conform to the following criteria:
1. Number of camera units: at lest 3 units for each Taolu carpet and each Sanda platform (mat). Additional 2 reserve units for (all cameras should be of the same manufacturer with same optics and presets (for each carpet/platform) working in the same color space and conform to the ITU standard for UHD (ITU-R BT.2020).
2. All camera units should be capable of high frame rate recording up to 120 fps to allows slow motion recording (also for use in case of appeals).
3. The recording units (video recorders) shall be conform to the 4K/3840x2160, a 16:9 aspect ratio, ITU-R BT.2020, 24p/25p/30p/50p/60p/120 frame rates, and 2/4 channel audio.
4. The encoding equipment should be conform to the H.265/MPEG-H HEVC High Efficiency Video Coding (2013, revised 2014) or to the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Advanced Video Coding or the DVB approved the Standard TS 101 154 V2.1.1, published (07/2014) in the DVB Blue Book A157.

EWUF CERTIFIED WUSHU EVENT
The European Wushu events certification concerns all forms of competitions, seminars, stages as well as other events related to wushu in Europe. To obtain the status of a «EWUF Certified event» the event must conform to a set of criteria. If this is a competition, it should be organized in conformity with EWUF competition Rules and Regulations and the judging must be assured by EWUF qualified judges under the supervision of the EWUF TC
EWUF JUDGES RECOMMENDED PAYMENT CHART
Official EWUF-certified judges invited to work during EWUF certified events may be rewarded for their work following a set of criteria:
1. The Organizing Committee pays the all-round trip (economy class) & transfer (normal taxi).
2. The Organizing Committee pays the hotel:
a) for "C" degree EWUF judges - a standard single room in a 3-star hotel.
b) for "B" degree EWUF judges - a standard single room in a 3-star hotel.
c) for "A" degree EWUF judges - a standard single room in a 4-star hotel.
The working days are paid on the basis of the following chart:
1 day work as a line judge during a competition with up to 5 countries participation - 50/60/70 EURO/day (8 working hours)
1 day work as a line judge during a competition with up to 12 countries participation - 70/80/90 EURO/day
1 day work as a line judge during a competition with more than 15 countries participation - 100/120/150 EURO/day
1 day work as a chief judge/referee during a competition with up to 5 countries participation - 150/200 EURO/day ( For EWUF "A" degree judges only).
1 day work as a chief judge/referee during a competition with up to 12 countries participation 250/300 EURO/day ( For EWUF "A" degree judges only).
1 day work as a chief judge/referee during a competition with more than 15 countries participation - 350 – 800 EURO/day ( For EWUF "A" degree judges only).
The competition director/jury of appeal chairman may be paid on the basis of the following chart:
1 day work during a competition with up to 5 countries participation - 350/370 EURO/day (8 working hours) ( For EWUF "A" degree judges only).
1 day work during a competition with up to 12 countries participation - 400/450 EURO/day (8 working hours) ( For EWUF "A" degree judges only).
1 day work during a competition with more than 15 countries participation - 500 – 1500 EURO/day ( For EWUF "A" degree judges only).
The judges are responsible for tax payment themselves.
EUROPEAN COACHES CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
The European coaches certification program aims to help raise the level of wushu coaching in Europe and help coaches preparing athletes towards European level competitions, to get familiar with Rules, Regulations and the procedures to follow during the competition. It also sets the 3 levels of coaches according to their coaching qualification and criteria for admission into EWUF working commissions.

EWUF is the only official Wushu organization in Europe responsible for managing all Chinese Martial Arts (Wushu, Kungfu, Taijiquan, Wingchun, Shuaijiao etc.) as recognized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF). Wushu is an official Sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee, ARISF and Sportaccord since 1998. The European wushu federation was created in 1985. The IWUF was created in 1991.
