The structure of the EWUF refers to the functions of its units. Those fall into two categories: legislative – the Congress, the Executive Committee, the Executive Council, and the executive – the Technical Committee and its Commissions, the Medical, Judges, European Wushu Grading, the Disciplinary and the Athletes Commission. In addition to that there are working groups either appointed by the Congress, or by the Executive Board. Those working groups are created to deal with definite tasks: i. e. the organising committee is created for the purpose of organising an event, the competition committee – for managing the competition, the EWUF justice commission to deal with all sorts of complaints and appeals etc.

The persons presiding over the Executive Units are appointed by the Executive Board after the consultation with the Executive Council. The Congress is formed by a quorum of active members having the right to vote.

The Executive Committee (Executive Board) and the Executive Council are elected by a simple majority of the Congress. Any changes in the structure are subject to the decision of EWUF's Highest authority – the Congress.
