HOW TO BECOME AN EWUF JUDGE?
In order to assure high competition standards in Europe, the EWUF and its Technical Committee are constantly working on the betterment of wushu judges work. To achieve this, a special commission was created inside the TC. The president of this Commission is one of the best World wushu judges, a 6 Duan holder, IWUF and EWUF «A» degree judge Stewart BECKETT. You should address him with you personal request to become an EWUF qualified judge.
The next step is to pass a Duan examination to prove your understanding of wushu techniques. For this aim your need to address Mrs. Tatiana KUPRIYANOVA – European Wushu Grading System director. After passing the exam (it can be either taolu or sanda), you shall be registered as a Duan degree holder and allowed to work as trainee or assistant judge during an official EWUF competition. After the evaluation of your work, you shall be awarded a «C» degree EWUF judge title.
After 2 years you can apply to become a «B» degree judge. To do this you should pass your 2d degree Duan examination.
An «A» degree is awarded to judges having at least a 3d Duan degree and have worked as «B» degree judge for at least 3 years.
Only «A» degree judges can be appointed to work as head judges and chief judges during EWUF official events.
A Head judge is a judge which is responsible for overall competition management.
A Chief judge is a judge which is responsible for managing the ongoing event (i. e. taolu event or sanda event).
If you are an IWUF qualified judge, you can apply for the corresponding EWUF degree after Duan examination.
